Since 2003, the certainty provided by TÜV SÜD has been visualized even more clearly in the form of a quality mark, the blue octagon, which today also serves as the TÜV SÜD logo. The introduction of TÜV SÜD’s new logo and its claim of "Competence, Certainty, Quality", was accompanied by a change in name from ”TÜV Suddeutschland” to ”TÜV SÜD”, to better communicate the corporation’s international orientation.
