e-mark for Electrical/electronic sub-assemblies
Effective from 2002/10/1, Automotive Directive 95/54/EC applies to components (electrical/electronic subassemblies: ESA) and separate technical units which are intended for installations in vehicles. Issued in the OJ on 2004/11/13, 2004/104/EC replaces the Automotive Directive 95/54/EC and from 2006/01/01additional immunity (transient) testing became mandatory.

Together with TÜV SÜD Automotive, TÜV SÜD Japan provides quick and smooth service to type approvals of e-mark. The Automotive EMC Directive 2004/104/EC requires the following testing for EMC aspects.
1. Radiated emission (Broadband, narrowband noise, 30MHz to 1GHz)
2. Immunity test (20MHz to 1GHz): either radiated immunity or conducted immunity)
TÜV SÜD Japan will help you complete both emission and immunity tests in Japan. This will reduce your burden to send samples abroad.

- All tests will be conducted in Japan according to the Automotive EMC Directive 2004/104/EC for type approval (e-mark)

- There is no burden of translation - all communications with the respective authorities will be done through TÜV SÜD Japan
