Product Testing (ISO/JIS/CB)
TÜV-SÜD Japan offers certification services for CB Scheme and NRTL, including product safety tests to confirm conformity to the standards of active medical devices. These services has a good advantage for access to the overseas markets.
[Product Safety Tests]
TÜV-SÜD Japan provides electrical and functional safety tests services in collaboration with its group company, TÜV-SÜD Ohtama. These tests can be performed either at the customers’ facility in our engineer’s presence or the test facility of TÜV-SÜD Ohtama.
[CB Scheme Services]
TÜV-SÜD Japan, in collaboration with TÜV-SÜD Ohtama, is able to issue CB Test Reports and CB Certificates, which allow you to apply for certifications in CB member countries. Our certification services cover not only the IEC60601-1 which has the highest needs, but also the EMC and some other specific standards (IEC60601-2-xx).
[NRTL Services]
TÜV-SÜD Product Service and TÜV-SÜD America are accredited as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). TÜV-SÜD Japan provides NRTL Certification services by performing factory inspections and safety tests according to the applicable standards.
[TUV Mark]
TUV Mark is a private certification given by a reliable certification body as evidence that the essential safety requirements of the product have been fulfilled and quality control has been maintained continuously. Not only medical devices, but also the components of power adaptors are able to prove conformity with the IEC 60601-1 and other standards.
