IC Cards
Testing of Visa IC Cards
As part of the testing required for Visa approval of IC cards we offer EMV Level 1 testing, contactless interface testing (ISO 14443 Type A and Type B), VSDC on contact / contactless, MSD, qVSDC, and Visa GlobalPlatform testing. We use test tools recognized by Visa for all the tests.
As a prerequisite for testing the submitted IC cards have to be customized according to Visa's requirements in order to work adequately within our test environment. All documents required are directly provided by us.
Like for EMV terminals, card testing is offered either as debug testing or as approval testing. While the scope and procedure of debug testing can be agreed between the customer and us, the approval testing is strictly subject to Visa¡Çs approval requirements. Test data or documentation of debug testing cannot be re-used for the formal approval process.
Testing of IC Cards for EMVCo Level 1 approval
We offer EMV Level 1 testing in compliance with the EMVCo approval process. Our testing and reports are accepted by EMVCo, and therefore also by Amex, JCB, MasterCard and Visa as part of their propriatary IC Card approval processes.
Testing of JCB IC Cards
We offer EMV Level 1 testing as part of JCB¡Çs approval process for J/Smart IC cards as the only laboratory accredited by JCB for such approval testing.
