Terminals
Testing of terminals for conformity to EMV Specifications
We have been recognized by Visa for performing testing to the EMV specifications in spring 2000 already. Today the approval process for both EMV Level 1 and Level 2 terminal testing is handled by EMVCo.
EMV Level 1 Approval Testing
We use test tools accepted by EMVCo for performing the tests. The scope of testing is defined by the EMV type approval requirements. Minor variations to this test scope may, however, be possible depending on the device.
EMV Level 1 Contactless Approval Testing
Our testing for compliance to analogue and digital requirements according to the EMV specifications is recognized by EMVCo, as well as by MasterCard and Visa as part of their terminal approval processes.
EMV Level 2 Approval Testing
We use the tools accepted by EMVCo together with approved test scripts. The scope of testing is defined by the EMV type approval requirements. However, the actual tests required may vary widely depending on the functionality of the submitted device. We can provide quotations based on a completed Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS) for EMV Level 2.
EMV Quality Assurance Testing
Although the EMV test cases are published, it may be considered too costly by customers to set up their own test facilities for complete device testing. We offer debug testing to support the customers¡Ç development and test processes. This testing is performed using the same test tools and test scripts as used for approval testing, but the customer can freely select the tests or test groups. Customers can either define the scope of testing in advance, or join our engineers during the testing.
Visa Contactless Testing
We use test tools accepted by Visa and EMVCo for performing the tests. We provide the one-stop-service needed to obtain a Visa terminal approval: EMV contactless analogue & digital testing, MSD, VSDC and qVSDC testing.
